Advanced Techniques Demo Using OpenGL
Buček, Antonín ; Přibyl, Jaroslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis demonstrates advanced techniques using OpenGL. The work is conceived as a demo without any size restrictions. It focuses on creating 3D world, which consists of inner rooms complex. Some additional interesting objects, lighting and shadows enrich the rooms. Particle systems, which were used to create explosions, smokes and some other particle effects are described in the thesis, too. 3D machine models fight between themselves using laser beams and form the story of the demo. Important part of the work is a movement model which is applied to both models and avatar. Sound track completes the demo.
Automatic lighting controls
Sůra, Lukáš ; Boušek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Hejátková, Edita (advisor)
This diploma work discusses the design of an automatic lighting for the home. Each access point in the rooms is designed to detect with two laser beams. Laser beams can be extended with PIR sensor and a mechanical switch. An access point can be, for example frames . By this is achieved that when entering the room the light is switched on and the light goes off when leaving. Automatic lighting controls consists of the central panel, the remote sensing and the detection frame. The control panel controls laser beams and lights. Remote control is used to switch on/off the light in the certain room. The detection frame is used to detect a person who enters or leaves the room.

Sborník pokroků nekonfokální a konfokální fluorescenční mikroskopie
Pala, Jan
Workshop in Ljubljana was focused on major aspects of contemporary widefield and confocal fluorescence microscopy. It covered topics from basic technical background of high-end optical microscopy to the most sophisticated applications.
Úvod do konfokální mikroskopie, 3D zobrazování s Leica SPE
Pala, Jan ; Krist, P. ; Sendrowski, P.
The article deals with the contemporary state of art of confocal microscopy.
Single-element holographic diffraction lenses used for collimation of near-infrared diode-laser beams
Pala, Jan ; Miler, Miroslav ; Aubrecht, Ivo
In the near infrared region optical beams emitted by diode lasers are strongly divergent and have a moderate astigmatism and ellipticity. For their collimation single holographic diffractive elements can be used. A series of that collimators have been recorded using Ar laser line 458 nm. The elements are inspected in a reverse arrangement in a collimated HeNe beam and a diffraction pattern of the second diffraction order beam is analyzed by Spiricon CCD camera. Spot diagrams were also computed.
